No Show Policy

Your continued service to the game of soccer, its players, and your association is appreciated.

Important to being a professional referee is organization.   It is essential that you fulfill all game assignments that you have accepted.   SCRA requires its officials to be at the FIELD a minimum of 30 minutes before the scheduled kick off time.

It is understood that situations arise that are out of your control.  In such instances, you are requried to call your fellow officials, or the SCRA assignor, to let them know you will not be there.

SCRA's no show policy can be found at http://www.scrarefs.com/ and summarized as follows:

First Time – The first instance of a no-show results in a warning and a reminder.

Second– The second instance of a no-show will result in a fine equal to one-half of the game(s) fees that you would have received if you would have officiated the game(s).  To be assigned additional SCRA games, you must attend a hearing in front of the SCRA board within 90 days.

Third - Possible termination from the association.

Again, you are appreciated, and it is understood that extenuating circumstances occasionally arise.  But also please understand that it is very important to be on –time for your appointments.  Many times more experienced Referees are assigned to work with newer Referees, many of them youth, and it is not an ideal for less experienced referees to be thrust into uncomfortable assignments.
