As an example, a
Grade 6 referee capable of all but the most challenging games would be rated

The SCRA Board has
determined that they can at any time upgrade or downgrade a referee based on
the individuals performance and competencies as long as 2 Board members and the
Assignor all agree on the change proposal. However, the Board will review the
entire active members list twice a year and make adjustments as needed
utilizing a quorum during regularly scheduled monthly Board meetings. The
ratings will be available to the individual members online at any time.
Any member, who
wants to have their internal rating reviewed, can send either an electronic or written
request to the Director of Development. The Director of Development will review
the request with the assignor (On requests 400 and Higher) either make the
change without the approval of the SCRA Board or he can bring the request to
the attention of the SCRA Board where at least two members must approve it in
order for the change to take place. Information provided to board members can
include the following; assignor feedback, field assessments,
referee feedback, etc.
Please note that
the Assignor with the full knowledge of the Director of Development can review
and change any members internal rating, level 400 and above without approval
from the SCRA Board regardless if a request is made or not.
On requests for a
group rating of 300, the Director of Development after concurring with the
Assignor will inform the SCRA Board by either electronic or verbal
communication where at least 2 Board members must agree to the change. For a 200 rating request, the Director of
Development should present to the Board the request at a normal monthly Board
meeting where a quorum vote is required for a change. Criteria for a grade 200 would require that
the member have a USSF grade of 7 or lower or be in the process of moving to a
grade 7. Information such as assignor feedback, field assessments, referee
feedback and any other pertinent information will be reviewed and discussed
before a rating change can come to a final vote. For a 100, the member should
