2010 State Cup Referee Reminders

 

CHECK IN WITH STATE REFEREE COORDINATOR AT LEAST 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO YOUR FIRST MATCH.

 

Game cards MUST BE STAMPED by the State Committee prior to team being checked in. Send the coach or manager to the State Cup registration area if game card is not stamped. YOU MUST HAVE TWO GAMES CARDS TO START THE GAME!

The referee team must check in each team. Make sure that there is at least one coach with a current administrator card. DO NOT START THE GAME WITHOUT A PROPERLY CREDENTIALED COACH!

Please do not fold game cards more than once or make any marks on the front. Completely fill out the back of the cards on the lines that correspond to that game. Coaches or managers must initial after the game for two reasons, to VERIFY that the game cards are correct (score, cautions, sendoffs, etc.), and to acknowledge receipt of player credentials.

In case of send-off(s), a USSF supplemental report must be written and the player(s) and/or coach(es) card(s) MUST BE PULLED.  Turn in completed game cards to State Referee Coordinators or CYSA Field Marshalls.

CYSA South Rule 2.4.2 "Endorse FIFA Law IV and current USSF guides" which states, "A player must not use equipment or wear anything that is dangerous to himself or another player (including any kind of jewelry)." The determination of whether a player may or may not play will be made by the referee in accordance with FIFA Law IV.

All three referees must wear matching shirts that most contrasts with both teams colors. In case of color conflict with a goalkeeper, that goalkeeper must change to a color that does not conflict with the referees or either of the teams. NO HATS

In case of Kicks From the Mark, only players eligible to participate are allowed on the field. Substitutes and coaches must not enter the field.

Please tell a State Referee Coordinator if you are assigned to a game in the same age group as your son or daughter so a switch to another field can be arranged.

RULE CLARIFICATION: With the exception of the goalkeeper, if a player is attended on the field, that player must leave the field. He/she may be substituted, or may return to the game with the permission of the referee once play has restarted.
